Safety in the Home
At All About Loving Care, our client’s safety and security is one of utmost concern. We understand how crippling physical conditions can cause a person to become more vulnerable towards accidents.
To those who prefer to stay in their own homes rather than in care facilities, we can help you by installing safety equipments such as ramps, handrails and safety rails in strategic locations. We are also available to provide advice on how you can make your home safer for you or your loved ones through simple tasks such as removing loose rugs, removing dangling telephone chords, using non-slip flooring for bathrooms, making sure stairways and hallways are always lighted, etc.
Fire Safety
Statistics have shown that aging Americans over the age of 65 are at greater risk of dying in a fire. That is why we at All About Loving Care have taken it upon ourselves to lower that risk. We do this through methods such as...
- Fire safety tips
- Fire safety seminars
- Installation of Smoke Detectors
- Fire Drills
- Suggesting home improvements to lessen chances of fire
- Suggesting home improvements to increase chances of escape should a fire occur
First Aid
The term first aid proves true to its name. It is the first line of defense against any injury, and has been known to save lives year after year.
It is important then that our staff here at All About Loving Care be oriented with first aid techniques such as...
- Wound dressing
- Wound care
- Splinting
- CPR
- Heimlich Maneuver
Our staff is highly trained and experienced in the field of first aid application. We can help you or your loved ones become oriented through trainings and seminars.
Aging Changes
Our lives change as we grow older, and this is particularly true for the elderly. With physical limitations brought upon by age, tasks which used to be done in a heartbeat take time and effort to be completed. Emotional problems may arise, and the lives of loved ones also become affected.
Aging is part of life, albeit a difficult one. However, it doesn’t have to be. We at All About Loving Care can help you adjust to a new and ever-changing lifestyle. Whether you want to be taken care of in your own home or in our facility, our doors and hearts will always be open to you.
Respecting Diversity
All About Loving Care revels in the diversity of the world. We do not hold discriminations towards our clients. Be it age, gender, race, color, religion, or origin, we provide services to anyone in need of them, and deliver it with genuine compassion and dedication to work.
Our employees are also a diverse group of individuals. We are an open opportunity employer, and look beyond the physical in our quest for caregivers.
Effective Communication
The key to a good relationship is effective communication. This comes in handy particularly to caregivers, who need to communicate with their clientt almost every hour of every day in order to ensure appropriate care is given, not just physically, but emotionally as well.
Communication can become difficult especially for those afflicted with advanced aging, illness, or disability. But here at All About Loving Care, our employees have been well-trained in the art of effective communication. Simple things such as allowing the client to reminisce or grieve, respecting them and giving them a listening ear have helped make communicating easier, and with it, the effective delivery of care.
Depression and Suicide
There has always been a strong link between depression and suicide. It is not uncommon for those who are physically vulnerable to be emotionally and mentally vulnerable as well.
At All About Loving Care, we make it a point to keep our clients as happy and content as possible. Each and every one of our caregivers has been carefully selected for their genuine dedication towards service to those in need, and undergone classes and seminars to ensure they continue to build happy relationships with the clients.
Coping with Memory Loss
It is a well-known fact that as we get older, we may suffer some problems with regards to our memory. You may have to struggle to remember a name, or backtrack to where you had left your keys.
But when forgetfulness begins to interrupt your lifestyle, we at All About Loving Care can help you cope. We are here to provide tips, seminars, or physical assistance in case of severe memory loss such as in Alzheimer’s disease.
Range of Motion
Range of motion is the distance and direction of movement of a joint. For the elderly, or those suffering from injury, their range of motion may be vastly reduced, thus, affecting their individual lifestyles. Over time, this limited range of motion may even cause a permanent inability to extend the joints beyond a certain fixed position.
Nutrition
It is always important to have a healthy, well-balanced diet. However, with those suffering from maladies, the importance is increased ten-fold. Different conditions require different needs, just as different individuals have different dietary needs.
All About Loving Care takes the nutrition of our clients very seriously. The meals served in our facility are prepared to provide both enjoyment and wellness. We also prepare special diets for those whose conditions require them to adhere to a strict diet.
To those who prefer to stay at home, you can expect dietary advice from our company.
Caring for Clients with Disabilities
All About Loving Care, one of the first trainings our caregivers receive is the care for clients with physical limitations or disabilities. They are trained in...
- First aid
- CPR
- Ambulation
- Use of ambulatory equipment
- Care of ambulatory equipment
Aside from the actual task of providing the patient more freedom of movement, our caregivers are also warm-hearted individuals who can provide both physical and emotional support to our clients.
Hospice Care
In the final stages of their lives, be it from age, illness, or injury, patients may choose to live out their remaining days in a place where they can receive quality care 24/7. All About Loving Care can provide just that. By focusing more in the prevention of pain and discomfort, we are able to help the patient enjoy as much of their days as possible.
We understand the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of those in hospice care as well as their families. It is for this reason that we not only provide hospice care professionals, but counselors as well.
